Include your app version, iPhone model, iOS version, and what happened. Hide private information in screenshots. Never send your passcode; a full backup contains your photos and details, so do not attach one casually.

Keep a copy of your collection
In Settings, open Backup & Restore and choose Save Backup to Files. Save outside Herespot’s own folder and keep more than one dated copy. A backup includes only what was saved when you made it. Copies kept only inside the app do not survive app deletion.
Restore a backup
Choose Restore from Backup in Settings → Backup & Restore. Review its date and counts, then confirm. Restore adds a collection without replacing your current inventory. Restoring the same file twice creates two copies.
Spreadsheet or full backup?
A CSV export is a readable inventory spreadsheet. It is not a full-photo restore backup. Use Backup & Restore to preserve photos, scans, and History along with your item details.
Camera or scanning unavailable?
Check Herespot’s camera permission in iPhone Settings. You can also choose an existing photo. For a better cutout, keep the whole object in frame, use good lighting and a simple background, and review the result before saving. Suggested names and recognized text can be imperfect.
Before deleting Herespot
Save a full backup outside the app and verify you can find it. Deleting the app removes its local inventory and media. Your exported copies remain wherever you saved them.
